Outagamie County
Proclamation 

Whereas, Outagamie County has recognized its citizens for representation at significant sporting events, and Clint Kriewaldt is one of those citizens deserving recognition; and,

Whereas, Clint Kriewaldt, who calls Shiocton, Wisconsin, his hometown, had an exceptional high school football career during which he was named Central Wisconsin Conference Offensive Player of the Year, earned all-state running back at Shiocton High School as well as all-region and all-conference honors as a running back and linebacker in 1993; and,

Whereas, Clint Kriewaldt earned an interior architecture degree in 2000 at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point; and,

Whereas, Clint Kriewaldt played inside linebacker most of his college career for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point posting a record for career tackles with 416, receiving the 1998 Division III National Defensive Player of the Year as a senior, and receiving numerous other college career awards for his remarkable abilities on the field; and,

Whereas, Clint Kriewaldt was initially drafted into the National Football League with the Detroit Lions, playing four years with the Lions before being signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers prior to the 2003 season; and,

Whereas, Clint Kriewaldt, who wears jersey No. 57, has proven to be an outstanding special-teams player with the Pittsburgh Steelers, being selected in 2004 as co-captain, and adding quality depth to the inside linebacker position; and

Whereas, Clint Kriewaldt is also recognized as a loving husband to Jamie and devoted father to twins Carter and Kierstin; and

Now, Therefore, We, Toby Paltzer, Outagamie County Executive, and Cliff Sanderfoot, Outagamie County Board Chair, do hereby proclaim outstanding recognition of  

Clint Kriewaldt

for his extraordinary football career culminating with the recent Super Bowl XL Championship with the Pittsburgh Steelers, for his continued support of Outagamie County and the community at large, for his charitable cause efforts, and we urge our fellow citizens to applaud his accomplishments.
