ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids for Phase 1 Construction – Contract "A-10" for the Outagamie County Northeast Area 6 Landfill in Appleton, Wisconsin, will be received by the Outagamie County Clerk, County Administration Building, 2nd Floor, 410 South Walnut Street, Appleton, Wisconsin 54911, until February 25, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., local time. The project generally consists of constructing a 23 acre, composite lined municipal solid waste landfill cell.
Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained at Green Bay Blue (starting February 1, 2010), located at 2240 Holmgren Way, Green Bay, Wisconsin 54304, telephone (920) 468-7233, upon a non-refundable document payment of $60.00 in the form of cash, check or credit card. Please make checks payable to Green Bay Blue. An electronic version of the bidding documents can be viewed (starting February 1, 2010) at the following internet location:

A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m., local time on February 9, 2010, at the Outagamie County Landfill office located at 1419 Holland Road, Appleton, Wisconsin. Qualified contractors are strongly encouraged to attend. (Note: see addendum 1 for time change)
A certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond payable to Outagamie County in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must accompany the bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract within ten (10) days after award of the contract.
Contractor shall furnish a Public Improvement Performance/Labor and Material Payment Bond pursuant to Sec. 779.14 WI Statutes, with a surety duly authorized to and licensed to do business in the State of Wisconsin for use and benefit of claimants in an amount not less than the contract sum.
The Contract shall be subject to Section 66.293 of the Wisconsin State Statutes pertaining to municipal wage scales. The Contract shall be subject to the Prevailing Wage Rate Determination by the State of Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Equal Rights Division.
Bids will be opened and publicly read at 2:15 p.m., local time, on February 25, 2010, at the County Administration Building, 2nd Floor, 410 South Walnut Street, Appleton, Wisconsin 54911.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
Outagamie County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive or not waive any informalities in the bids received, and to accept any bid which they deem most favorable to the interest of Outagamie County.
