Health and Human Services Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse

The Mental Health / Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Division is a state-certified outpatient clinic.  Each unit within the division has state standards which the State of Wisconsin uses to certify each individual program.

The staff works collaboratively to achieve the division’s mission to provide services to individuals and their families who are affected by mental illness and/or alcohol and other drug abuse, which meets their needs and assists them in living independently in the community, in the least-restrictive setting.  The efforts of the division are accomplished within the framework of each service program.

The division also provides an integrated approach of both provided and purchased services to consumers based on their individual and/or family needs.  Provided services include:  Crisis Intervention, Evaluation & Psychotherapy Unit, Community Support Program, Comprehensive Community Services and Case Management.

The Crisis Intervention Unit provides 24 hour per day emergency mental health services.

The Evaluation and Psychotherapy Unit provides assessments, evaluations, and outpatient mental health services to children, adults, and families experiencing a broad range of mental health problems.

The Community Support Program is a coordinated care and treatment program which provides a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services through an identified treatment plan to ensure ongoing therapeutic involvement, individualized treatment, rehabilitation, and support services in the community for persons with a serious and persistent mental illness.

Comprehensive Community Services provides a full continuum of care for individuals who have a serious and persistent mental illness.  The emphasis is on recovery in a team model concept with the consumer and those he / she designates as a part of their team.

Case Management services assist mental health consumers to gain access to and coordinate a full array of services including medical, social, education, vocational, and other needed services. This is accomplished by assessing needs and developing a treatment plan, which includes ongoing monitoring and service coordination.
