AGENDAS MINUTES

The County Land Conservation Committee is a standing committee of the Outagamie County Board.  The Committee operates under the authority of CHAPTER 92, Soil and Water Conservation and Animal Waste Management of the Wisconsin State Statues.  The Committee is comprised of five elected County Board Supervisors, a member of the local Farm Service Agency Committee, and one appointed Citizen Member.  The Committee is charged with providing county leadership in the conservation and wise use of soil, water and related resources through a balanced cooperative program that protects, restores and improves those resources. 

The Land Conservation Committee is empowered to:

  • Carry out powers delegated to the committee subject to the approval of the County Board.

  • Develop and adopt standards, specifications and ordinances for management and conservation of natural resources.

  • Distribute and allocate federal, state and county funds for conservation programs.

  • Encourage research, education and information programs regarding conservation issues.

  • Carry out preventative, control, and work of improvement regarding flood water within the county.

  • Provide financial, technical, planning or other assistance to public or private entities to carry out conservation work.

  • Other duties to achieve county/committee mission.
