Recreation Planning

The Planning Department prepares and maintains the Outagamie County Outdoor Recreation and Open Space Plan.  The most recent version of this report was completed in October 2009 and is awaiting adoption by the County Board. Following adoption, the plan will be forwarded to Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for certification.  The approved plan is accessible below:

The Planning Department can also assist local communities in the preparation of recreation plans.  Some past assistance to local communities has included a collaborative effort with the East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission.  If your community would like assistance in the preparation of a new recreation plan or the updating of an existing plan, contact Mike Hendrick by calling (920) 832-5255.
